PRIVACY POLICY / UPDATED 20 OCTOBER 2026
Your privacy.
Information under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), covering browsing on quintoelementosrl.com and enquiries initiated through the contact details published on the website.
1. Data controller
The controller is Quinto Elemento Srl, with its registered office at Via Scaglia Est 144, 41126 Modena (MO), Italy, VAT / Tax ID 04087570364. For personal data enquiries and to exercise your rights, contact info@quintoelementosrl.com or the certified email address quinto.elemento@pec.it. The showroom and warehouse are at Via Radici in Piano 552, 41049 Sassuolo (MO), Italy.
2. Personal data and how it is collected
During browsing, the infrastructure delivering the website receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request dates and times, and data needed for security and error management. The website code does not integrate Google Analytics, advertising pixels or profiling tools.
If you contact us by email, certified email or telephone, we process the contact details and information you choose to provide, such as your name, company, role, enquiry and information needed to respond. Email links open your email application: the website does not collect messages through a form and does not require an account to browse collections or download catalogues. Please do not send sensitive or unnecessary information.
Your Google Maps choice is recorded in browser storage. The embedded map remains blocked until you allow it; when you enable it, your browser connects to Google services under Google’s terms and privacy policy.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Browsing, catalogue availability and security: technical data is processed to deliver the website, prevent abuse and manage technical issues. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in providing a functioning, secure service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Enquiries and business relationships: we process data to answer questions about collections, provide information and take pre-contractual steps requested by the individual under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. When a contact acts on behalf of a company, professional communications are based on the legitimate interest in responding and maintaining the requested correspondence under Article 6(1)(f).
Legal obligations and protection of rights: data may be processed to comply with applicable obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, or to establish, exercise or defend a right based on the legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f), limited to what is necessary.
Google Maps and preferences: Google Maps loads on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the rules applicable to device storage. Consent is optional and can be withdrawn. Technical storage used to remember your choice serves only to respect that choice.
4. Providing personal data
You can browse collections and download catalogues without providing contact details or accepting Google Maps. Strictly necessary technical data is transmitted when your browser requests a page. Providing data for a business enquiry is voluntary; without essential contact details or information, we may be unable to respond or handle your request. Rejecting or withdrawing map consent does not limit catalogue access.
5. Recipients and services used
Data may be accessed by authorised personnel managing the website and enquiries, technical suppliers needed to provide the services, and, when necessary, professional advisers or authorities as required by law. The website is published through OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites, using Cloudflare delivery infrastructure. The domain’s ordinary email uses Google Workspace. Google Maps is optional and is contacted only after you authorise the embedded map.
Suppliers act according to their role in each processing operation; their policies also describe processing for their own purposes. External links, including Instagram and directions, lead to separate services: the website does not embed an Instagram feed. Contact the controller for further information about data recipients.
6. International transfers
The technology services listed may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their linked policies describe applicable transfer mechanisms, such as adequacy decisions, participation in the Data Privacy Framework where relevant, or standard contractual clauses, depending on the service and destination. You may ask the controller for information about safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy.
7. Retention criteria
Enquiries and related correspondence are retained for the time needed to respond and handle any follow-up you request. If a business relationship is established, relevant data is retained in relation to its duration and applicable legal obligations and requirements for protecting rights; information no longer needed for the enquiry or these purposes must be deleted. Contact us to find out the criterion and period applicable to your specific enquiry.
Your optional-content choice is retained in your browser for 180 days. Infrastructure technical data is handled by providers for the delivery, security and diagnostic needs described in their policies; retention depends on the data category and service settings. Cookies and data processed by Google after map activation are subject to Google’s stated periods and controls. We do not assign these services expiry periods the website cannot control.
8. Your rights
In the cases and within the limits provided by Articles 15–22 GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. You may obtain portability where automated processing is based on consent or a contract. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. For Google Maps, use “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Withdrawal prevents further map loading; cookies already set by Google can also be managed through your browser or Google account.
To exercise your rights, contact the controller using the details above. Requests are handled within the time limits in Article 12 GDPR, normally within one month, subject to permitted extensions. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.
9. Cookies and automated decisions
The website does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects and does not integrate profiling systems. The cookie policy describes technical storage and Google Maps. If new tools are introduced, the information will be updated and, where necessary, consent will be requested again.
10. Scope and updates
This policy covers the website and contacts initiated through the published contact details. It does not replace specific notices provided for contracts, staff or other relationships. The date above identifies the latest revision; updates will be published on this page.
